Wasfia Nazreen told a story in her leaderstory talk about an auntie that told her she was unladylike when she was attempting to hula hoop as a child, and this shaming incident stuck with her. Later on one of her summit journeys she carried a hula hoop with her as a symbol of her reclamation–and hooped on top of the mountain. I think it would be a cool idea to make a Golden Hoop Award for a student overcoming an obstacle, and/or individuating herself. a summit and
